To make the world the better place we need to start with ourselves. By doing so each and everyone of us can contribute to a better reality for all. More often than not we are blinkered – seeing the world as humanity’s playground. We need to step back and remember we are part of something much bigger – planet earth. This view has led to the destruction of the planet on an industrialised scale.
The scale of the task to reverse the harm we’re inflicting to our planet is so daunting, it has left us impotent, unable to see how we can be agents of change.
We also tell ourselves that there is little point in changing our behaviour as the impact will be so small and insignificant, it will never be enough, so we never start. However we all have the power to make a change and the combined efforts of many will result in transformational change. Not only for the world, but also for ourselves – from the realisation we can be agents of change. And you know what they say, “there’s no time like the present”.
However the question remains what can you do?
Avoid buying another plastic bag at the shops? Ask for a paper straw instead of plastic? Help somebody to cross the road? To think twice before buying electronics which need disposable batteries? Plant a tree? Choose products without excess packaging? Learn sign language? Share books for others to read? Clean your house? Spend time making a better meal?
Taking care of your health?
Whilst you might not be able to change the entire world, you can easily change the world around you. In doing so you’ll help the world more than you think. Go one step further and make sure you share what changes you’re going to make on your Instagram and encourage your friends to do the same!
As humans though, we have an advantage compared to most other species – our strength, ingenuity and ability to drive change
The world from us is an initiative which born from the feeling that it is necessary to do something to contribute a better experience of life to each one of us and all of us.
So, why not start now?
